Experienced Consultant Transport & Mobility for the European Market

This position challenges you to

…work on Dutch, EU and international projects on the cutting edge of technology, policy making and government measures. You will provide research and policy recommendations on areas like (EU) transport policy, infrastructure, multimodal transport, urban logistics, sustainable mobility and energy transition. You are convinced that solid research will lead to meaningful results that will offer insights for better governance and advice on how to further develop transport and mobility policy. As a consultant you will follow closely all the trends affecting the transport sector, as well as what drives your clients and their needs.

Your duties will include:

• writing tenders and devise research designs;
• executing both quantitative and qualitative research;
• writing reports (consultancy or research projects);
• prepare and deliver presentations to wider audiences
• identify opportunities from your network in the market, both in The Netherlands and in Europe;
• forming useful consortia with partners from within or outside your own network;
• guiding junior researchers in their work;
• maintaining, signalling and using opportunities from your network in the market, both in The Netherlands and in Europe;
• writing accessible research reports;
• cooperation with colleagues from other fields of expertise and our sister company MuConsult (www.muconsult.nl)

You have a strong analytical mind, you are quality driven and able to write practical recommendations for our clients with your excellent writing skills. You are energised from developing solutions [INVALID]d on solid research that will truly help our clients move forward! Naturally you can rely on a proven [INVALID] of research experience. Travelling is not a problem for you, since Brussels is part of your market and network. Also you have:

• a master degree or equivalent;
• proactive and independent attitude;
• experience with working on projects under time constraint;
• a minimum of 5 years experience as policy researcher, project manager or consultant, having gained experience in:
  • executing quantitative and qualitative research;
  • writing proposals and project reports;
  • excellent knowledge of the English language, basic understanding of the Dutch language;
  • preferably [INVALID]d in the Netherlands.
