Improving the business environment for SMEs of the Caribbean

Panteia has been shortlisted for the project “Improving the regulatory and business environment for BSOs in support of SMEs in the overseas countries and territories in the Caribbean region”.

The project aims to improve the business environment for SMEs of the Caribbean by:

  • establishing an enabling SME policy framework, which addresses the issues of private sector development/SME policies and strategies,
  • preparing institutional arrangements for public-private dialogue, by bringing together actors from the public and private sectors in order to carry out a joint problem analysis and identify policies and institutional reforms,
  • institutional strengthening and capacity building of business support organisations (BSO);
  • contributing to improved competitiveness of SMEs participating in the programme.

The countries include: Anguilla, Aruba, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Montserrat, Saba, Saint Barthélemy, St. Eustatius, Sint Maarten, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
